Pink Flamingos – The Lawn Ornament Debate By Melissa Esham 8/10/2015 Early in my manager career, I announced in a meeting my deep dislike for a plastic pink flamingo. It represented to me countless hours debating what was appropriate and inappropriate for any given community. I have seen lawn ornaments regulated by size, color, and material. Still, I have seen tacky all the way to downright offensive lawn ornaments of appropriate size, color and material. All I can say is that the manager should never enter the debate.
