Daylight savings time is a good reminder to change the batteries in your smoke detector. However, have you ever replaced the entire smoke detector? Most manufacturers are now providing an expiration date on the back side of the smoke detector. KEEP YOUR FAMILY SAFE Change the battery in your smoke detectors on Daylight Savings time weekend. Test your smoke detectors every month. Replace your entire smoke detector every 10 years. Install Carbon Monoxide detectors.
